Mac install for active directory multi-user

Hello,

I have to install fusion 360 for a student lab and i found several post about the issue of multi user on mac but it's always for local users.

We are here using an active directory system for users management so there is only one admin local user, where I do the install of fusion and the issue is, of course, that the app is only available for this admin user.

Do you have any solution to this please ? Appart from giving access to the install file on the network for each student can make his own install, because he would have to do it again and again on every computer he will use...

Thanx for the help.

Ok, I found a LAB install file (autodesk fusion 360 admin). This one is installing into a webdeploy folder and is found on every user so thats ok !!

BUT it doesn't launch at all ! 😣

Autodesk is great for all the other apps but fusion is a pain in the ass clearly...

I tried on one mac, the pkg for the same "admin" install and eveything works but on Windows PCs, no way to have more than the name of the excutable listed in the tasks...same on 2 win 10 and one win 7...

I tried the parameter --disableSimulation in the shortcut properties but with no result.

Having to fight to that point for installing a simple software is kind of crazy...

Ok, i'll answer to myself. I understand why the app is called "admin" because it needs to be launched as admin !!

Even on the admin session, where it was installed, we need to "open as an admin" and the app is miraculously showing itself on the screen and not only in task manager !

But I'm really wondering what's the purpose. We need to install this one to multi user environment because precisely, users have no admin privileges ! 🤔

Still answering for myself, it can be useful for someone because I finally found a workaround :

- install with the usual downloader and the parameter --globalinstall

- give the full control to users of the directory programdata
