Lost work

Hi,

I was working on a project a few weeks ago and just went to go do some more work and its not anywhere I can find it. Not in "recent work", not in any other project I can see, help!

I know the body is called, (as I uploaded the gcode to thingiverse

Are there any backups?

PS I am having problems for the last 6 months or so saving from New Zealand so it maybe Fusion 360 is failing to upload / save work, which is a worry.

You may be way past this, but did you look at your locally cached files directory?

Too bad Fusion doesn't save everything locally and just take copies to the web. The current system is a really unsustainable model.

No I didnt know there was a cache.  Off to check, thanks. Strange thing is I do manually save as I go along, like when I get to a milestone I am happy with.

Nothing I can see, pretty sure I have the right project aero-3d-mount, but its old stuff.   In fact its very old stuff, the original import almost, weeks of tinkering have been lost  😞

It looks like much if not all of February's work / changes have been lost.

Do I have any options or is that it?

Ok I found this and it has the same symptoms,

Looks like Fusion360 is not and has not been uploading for 4 or more weeks.

Is there a fix?

I tried going into offline mode and saving and then going back to online but no difference/recovery of 4 weeks work.

Hello @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear about your issue.

The recovery data should be saved by default to the local drive as well. You may give it a try and look for your lost files by following the instructions from this article.

Let me know if it helped.

Best regards,

None of these three are of any use.

Down  %appdata%

C:\Users\steven.Dell-1500\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\CrashRecovery

is empty

C:\Users\steven.Dell-1500\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\H663P5KPSNxx\CrashRecovery

Is maybe the GUID?

There are no f3d files there, 2 bak files dates june 2017 so not likely and a autosavedfilelist "file"

 I will just start again.
