losing tools on tool bar

I keep losing pinned tools on the tool bar. I have to use the drop down menu, then select the tool, and then select "pin to toolbar". Very annoying! Being a newb I'm probably missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably no replies because it's not a common problem. When are you seeing this, is it between sessions or are they going missing while you're working? Only time I've had anything like this is if I've accidently dragged an icon off the toolbar.

Hi @oldstairdog 

I understand your concern, after pinning tools to the toolbar in Fusion 360, a tool will vanish/disappear.

Reduce the number of pinned tools that are not frequently used. Before that pin the required tool after resetting the toolbar customization. You can reset the toolbar by right-clicking anywhere in the toolbar and selecting "Reset All Toolbar Customization".

I'm constantly having this issue as well. Very annoying. The answer "reduce the number of tools on the toolbar" is unsatisfying. There should be some guideline or alert that this may happen at least. This deletion even happens randomly in the middle of a workflow, when no other changes to the toolbar have been made, and can cause an inconvenient interruption.
