Losing data since update

Fusion 360 2.0.15995 x86_64

It says I'm using Windows Pro 10 22H2 but I'm running Windows 11 Pro.

I have two reoccurring issues since Fusion 360 updated recently.

1) Every time I open Fusion, it tells me my electronic libraries are newer than the most current and asks me to rollback or ignore.  I've tried both but I continue to get this.

2) Since last Saturday, I've been working on a project, and I closed Fusion and it said it was saving the project like usual.  Sunday I go to open the project and the project folders is there, and there is an icon of my item, but when I try to open it, it tells me there was a problem syncing the project.   There wasn't a recovery notification or anything.  Thank goodness I found the backup of the project in the user app data fusion folder and opened it, then saved it as a different name.  I used that file and I manually saved many times.  Later that evening, I open Fusion and try to open that project and the same thing, it says a sync issue and won't open.

I've logged out and logged back in.  I'm not sure how to fix this.

I did see another update yesterday, but it's still doing it.

If I click view on the web, I can see both files there and they both show models.

@rw_skinner We apologize for this experience but here is what will fix this problem. The build you are on is from April of 2023 and the file that you are trying to open seems to be from a newer version.

1. Close Fusion 360
2. Delete the shortcut you are launching Fusion with
3. Go to Add/remove programs
4. Select - Fusion 360 - MODIFY
5. This will launch the Fusion service utility
6. Run the repair Fusion 360
7. This should now take you to the latest Fusion version 2.0.16976
8. A new short cut should also be generated for you on your desktop

Now Fusion should be able to open the file that you are having problem with.

Let me give this a shot.  That project was designed on this computer and nothing has changed.  I do notice Fusions keeps saying that "Just updated to the latest version" and it's the August 8th update.  Let me see if the repair fixes it.

Repair got 33% thru then pops up a window and tells me I have to close explorer, then the repair utility closes.  I tried repair again, but it said there were many missing files *.DLL's.  So I was forced to reinstall.

After the installation, everything seemed fine, but if I select Edit tool from any machining process on any of my projects, it would say error and ask if I want to submit a report.  I did.

I closed Fusion 360 then restarted it, and now it seems fine.  This all started I believe Saturday when it said the server was offline and I designed that project and saved it.

Thanks for the help and getting me going again.

@rw_skinner In the workflow I should have suggested a restart of the machine after closing Fusion 360. Usually this eliminates some of the dll issues that you see. Glad that you are back on track. Let us know if anything else blocks you.
