Looking for a Post Processor for a CR Onsrud Router with a Fanuc 0i-MF

I am trying to find a way to get a post processor for a CR Onsrud 122S18 Router with a Fanuc 0i-MF controller. We have been using Vetric V-Carve pro and have a post processor that works. So far I have not been able to get the generic Fanuc post processor to work. It would be great our company to switch over to Fusion, I use it personally on a milling machine, but I need to sort out the post processor. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Chris,

As Nick mentioned, using the Onsrud Fanuc 31i post processor will give you the results you are looking for to post code for your machine.  This is a 5 axis post processor, but will also generate 3 axis code, too.  I worked with some guys in one of our other shops about a year or so ago after they purchased an M Series machine from Onsrud.  Their machine is 3 axis.  Is yours 3 or 5 axis?  If it is a 3 axis machine then you will need to set the parameters in the post to be as follows: Has 5 axis = No(Setting in Properties)/False(Set in Post) and Force IJK Yes/True.  But if it is 5 axis then the code should run without issues.

Hope this helps.

Hey I know this is 2 years later, but what adjustments did you have to make for this post processor to work? I am tasked with finding or writing a post processor for Fusion so my company can utilizes their 3-Axis CR Onsrud M-Series with a Fanuc 0i-Pendant controller.

If you make the suggested changes when posting your operation files, as what I mentioned in the response from 2 years ago you should be able to use that post processor without issue.  But if you prefer, you can send me a private message with your email contact info and I can get in touch with my colleagues that are running the post with their M Series machine. I can get a copy of it from them and also put you in touch with them, in case you have issues.  We have a G Series machine with an Osai control in our office.  When we were doing the testing I worked directly with CR Onsrud and the Fusion team to make the necessary tweaks needed to make their machine run properly with the output G-Code.
