Logitech Options+ VS Fusion360 / macOS = Please FIX that!!

Hi, With each new fusion update, the Logi Options+ software loses the path to the fusion executable, resulting in the specific shortcuts applied are no longer active. To remedy the problem, you have to assign the shortcuts again, pointing to the new executable.

Autodesk team could you get closer to logitech and work together to do what is necessary to ensure that this extremely annoying problem does not happen again? It's a shame that it's up to the user to take the step of contacting Logitech.

the problem existed on windows and has been corrected, but still exists on macOS šŸ˜

Please fix compatibility with logitech option+ on macOS!! With each update we have to reparameterize each of our specific fusion shortcuts, needless to say that it's painful, especially since the problem has been fixed on windows and that a ticket exists on this subject, thx. FUS-113034

It is insane what us users have to deal with. Took 4 months to fix the issue where highlighted faces stopped highlighting blue and this program still has issues highlighting faces blue.  4 months to fix an issue that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Should have been caught within the first 5 seconds of using the program. And now it's not a big enough issue to actually completely fix so it's just going to stay that way.

Dropdown menus that instantly close as soon as you open them? Over and over again. 50 times in a row. I mean come on. Oh wow the 5th year in a row Fusion's browser likes to glue itself over my Safari window at least a few times a day blocking my content. Insane.

No issues collecting my money though. Nope no issues there.

Are you grandfathered into the old pricing model? If so I have a theory...

Updates(v.2.0.18460) ā€“ February 21, 2024 and it's still the same mess. šŸ¤¬ With each fusion update Logitech Option loses the path to (.exe) and we have to re-configure all the mouse shortcuts that we had previously recorded. This is for each update, whether major or minor, so roughly 3 times per month. When are you going to resolve this problem?? Did you do it on Windows, but not on macOS??

Talk to logitech please!!

hi, the problem is still relevant!! It's really annoying to have to do this 3/4 times a month each time there is an update. AND what's really annoying is to see that the developers are deliberately ignoring this subject! Shame on you and your financial logic! šŸ¤¬

I have personally tried reaching out to Logitech's development support over the years to no avail. If you can direct someone to our team, we're happy to clarify to them the best way to detect Fusion.

A message so as not to forget this problem. The malfunction is still present on macOS and losing these shortcuts 3 times a month is really really unpleasant. A clarification for our developer friends, we must stop thinking that the fault is only on the side of logitech, no no. The problem may well come from fusion, let me explain; in the logitech option + software on mac os we are supposed to point the applications in the "application" folder the problem is that pointing this alias does not work, you have to go to webdeploy to find an alias that works, problem this one is updated with each new update.. In short, it has been ten months now that this problem persists and ruins the lives of users, finding a solution between you "autodesk and logitech" would be welcome.

Oh man I totally forgot I remapped some buttons for Fusion. Remapped them yesterday. After this morning's update they're no longer mapped.

Do I really have to remap these every week or two due to Fusion updating? No way does every user do this, surely this is just a bug for us two or we're doing it wrong?!

Logi Options+ still shows Fusion's still saved:

Maybe I chose the wrong instance of Fusion? *I would have selected this guy:

Screenshot 2024-12-05 at 9.09.08ā€ÆAM.png

Maybe Autodesk just renamed that instance [used to have lowercase "A" in "Autodesk" and lowercase "F" in "Fusion"]  and once I remap the renamed instance my buttons will stay mapped?

*I know that's the instance I mapped [prior to filename change] as when clicking on "Add other App" Logi Options+ opens that file location and Fusion is the latest of only 2 apps I've remapped mouse buttons for:

Or maybe there wasn't a name change.......................:

Screenshot 2024-12-05 at 9.17.54ā€ÆAM.png

EDIT 2: Ok so I literally need two instances for my mouse buttons to map for fusion. It doesn't work with either/or. I literally need to map the same application twice..................:

Just wild.

Until we get a response from someone who works on Logi Options software, there is not much we can do from our end alone.

@lance.carocci This topic has been open for 2 years now! Be careful what you say. In addition to not taking this topic seriously, it seems obvious that you are not knocking on the right door.

Yes, with each fusion update (whether major or minor) we lose the mapping.

Have you tried pointing to the alias that is in the application folder rather than the one in the "production" folder?

Very surprising that you need 2 instances šŸ˜Æ I have never had this case. Maybe there was confusion when you selected the application in the option + list? It can also sometimes be useful to restart fusion to associate a mapping

In any case, it is a pain to want to optimize your workflow with the fusion + option + combination on macOS. The problem takes a while as present on Windows it seems, but there, it has been fixed..
