Logitech Options+ MX Master 3 Button Assignment Fix For Mac

Anonymous
Not applicable

The Problem: Button assignments made within Logi Options+ software did not work when adding Fusion 360 as an individual application.

The Fix:

1. In Logi Options Plus click the + sign in the top right corner to Add Application

2. Instead of clicking AutoDesk Fusion 360, scroll to the bottom of the list and click "Add Other Application"

3. Once the finder box opens, press the COMMAND+SHIFT+ . (period key) simultaneously to show hidden files.

4. Navigate to: HD>Users>(your home folder)>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>webdeploy>production>(folder with numbers and letters)>Autodesk Fusion 360

Notes: (folder with numbers and letters) may be different for you, but it should contain the app you're looking for. I'm using the Non-Commercial version of Fusion 360.

It appears Logi Options+ was trying to use the Launcher app and not Fusion 360 itself.

Running Monterey 12.1

Hope this helps anyone else having the same problem. This helped me assign what was originally the top button "Shift Wheel Mode" to "Advanced Click > Middle Click + Shift" for Orbit.

I found the correct path on Windows by following the shortcut so if you open the file location for the shortcut and track it back to it's original path you can then add this into LogiOptions and for me the MX Master 3 now zooms, rotates and orbits without clicking the keyboard

Hi,

Are you also able to elaborate on it for Windows 11 users? I tried jsyshaggy 's option, so I found the folder of the shortcut. But if I go to this folder within Logitech options, it only shows FusionLauncher, not the full app.

Hopefully, there is a fix for this! Cant wait to hear your solutions!
Thanks

well I uninstalled the "option +" app then install the " option " app you gave me

the mouse it self work (with bluetooth) for basic stuff. but the " option app" doesn't detect the mouse so I can't set it up even if my laptop detect it

do i absolutly need to create a Logitech account to use it?

I found the fusion file at

"/Users/"YOUR USERNAME"/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production/(random alphanumeric text)/Autodesk Fusion 360.app"

or

Go to your Macintosh HD and do a file search for Fusion 360 / Fusion, you will see multiple fusion 360, click on one and hold the option key to check the path ---> Right click the one with the correct path and "Go to Folder"---> drag and drop that file after you click " Add another application". (JLK, I did download my Fusion from Home Brew )

But only the advanced click(Shift + Middle click) works, and keyboard shortcut doesn't
****I am running MacOS Sequoia 15.0

Hope it helps!!!

I just bought a MX Master 3s and it looks like Logitech does not support Fusion 360, and that's their official stance. I got logi Option + to work with Fusion on my Windows 11 machine, but the "Advanced Click" for [Shift + Middle Button] doesn't work with Fusion 360. I'm returning the mouse for something else that will work with 360, because I'm guessing this isn't the only application that I'll have problems with.
