Logging in without Internet

I can see similar questions in the past but yesterday I was round at a Clients and couldn't get online for various reasons.

Trying to start Fusion (multiple times) it flat refused to run as it couldn't log in. What a compete waste of time going round to discuss work created using 3D models. Also a bit embarrassing. 😞

Is this still happening? Could you please attach your logs and let me know what date and approximate time you experienced the issue?

I just want to confirm I understand the scenario - based on the title it sounds like you were trying to use Fusion 360 without any internet, but as I read further it sounds like you might have had a connection but weren't able to log in.

To clarify, Fusion 360 can operate offline as long as there is a user already authenticated, and specific files have been selected for offline caching.

Seems it was my "bad". I hadn't defined files for offline usage. What a pain that will be! 

It was connecting without any internet, fired up the laptop, not connected, run Fusion... bomb out, not logged in.

I can see this being a royal pain working remotely, away from the office location.

It's not too difficult, thankfully! In the Data Panel, just right click on an entry to add to your offline cache - even entire projects!

You can set how long the cached files are valid for within your preferences under "Offline cache time period (days)."

As far as logging in - that part we definitely cannot do offline, so you will need to ensure that you log in while you still have internet before closing Fusion for travel.
