Lofting Guidance

Really struggling to understand lofting, and I can see @jeff_strater have helped others in a similar situation..

I'm obviously missing some steps, perhaps dimensions which seem to be important.

No matter what I try, when I try to incorporate the bottom edge of the boat I get errors like rails aren't smooth etc.

Can you provide some pointers?

David

I'm not a boat guy, but there do seem to be a lot of boat guys using Fusion, so they may have better advice if you look for boat related posts.  So, I'm not sure if this is the best way to approach it, but it does seem to work for this model.

Because the boat is symmetric, I would choose to loft half of it, as a surface loft, and mirror the result.

A key here is to turn off chain selection, and very deliberately click on the "+" to add new rails, otherwise Fusion will detect the continuity, and try to merge the rails.  This will cause the loft to fail.
