Line Dimension Flip

Hi,

I am encountering what seems to be a bug.

The steps to reproduce are as follows:

  1. Create sketch.
  2. Create a rectangle of with all  four sides as construction lines.
  3. Add a smaller line that overlaps with one far right edge of the construction rectangle.
  4. Apply a dimension to that newly created line.
  5. Observe that the line is flipped in the opposite direction.

Expected behavior: Line should not be flipped in the opposite direction.

Minimal Fusion 360 file presenting the issue: https://a360.co/2SiLiWB

Screencast URL: https://autode.sk/3iq0hIW

Fusion 360 Version: 2.0.9009

OS Version: Windows 7

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks,

Hi,

1. File is empty

2. I cannot reproduce the error

Maybe a W 7 problem?

I have had the same experience as you but thought it was me doing bad sketches.
I can reproduce the same bug with line "flip" then adding dimension, the bug appears on both construction lines and solid lines for me but only in one direction (ccw around the rectangle).

Attached f3d file: Edit sketch and add a Dimension to the solid line and the line will "flip".

Fusion version 2.0.9009

Windows 10 (Version 10.0.19041 build 19041)

Hi @g-andresen ,

Thank you for looking into the post and for the heads up about the file. The file is only a single sketch so it seems it will show up as empty on the web editor. I just noticed that the "Allow Item to be Downloaded" just became part of the Paid subscription so I am attaching the file.

I am also including the screen cast from the original which shows the issue.

Hi @KristianLaholm ,

Thank you for taking a look at my post and thank you for the additional information.

I just tried your suggestion and if lines are added ccw around the rectangle they are flipped so I can also see the same flipping behavior as you.

Thanks again,
