line color in sketch

Hi,

I am new to fusion and I am searching for simply changing the line color in sketch since 30 minutes now. The post I could find tells something about document settings but I can't find them. Does somebody know ? Why is it so difficult? What I actually want to do is to redraw a sketch on top of an imported dxf sketch (as I can't extrude that - for whatever reason. A help at that end would appreciated as well. Thanks

If you are in the Design Environment and creating a model sketch, you are out of luck.  There is no ability provided to change the sketch line color at this time.

I would not need to do so if I could simply extrude the loaded geometry - it is a closed polygon but not recognized as a face. Maybe I could do about it like auto-close tiny gaps ?

Simply toggle the first sketch visibility off in the Browser!

Attach your model is you need help.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

By the way, I want to bring something to your attention. When responding to a post from someone, do not use the "Post Reply" icon as this will address your post to yourself. Instead use the "Reply" icon on the post you are responding to address your post to that person. Look back at the messages in this post and you will see what I mean.

Many users of Fusion call a 3D Model a "drawing".  The help page you attached is for 2D Drawings and YES, you can change the color of the lines there.

thanks for the hint. - I hope I took the correct button now. So that's good news with the lines but where is this "document setting" where I can change the color ?

The 2D Drawing Document settings is here.  I have changed the dimension color as an example.

You are not in a 2D Drawing, Document Settings and the ability to change line and entity color are in the 2D Drawing environment.  You are in the Design Workspace.  You need to set back and run through a few tutorials.  Here is a good place to start.

You can change the color of your sketches.
Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi,

For the sketches in the design mode there is no possibility to choose the line colors.

Divide and conquer technique will solve this issue.

I guess I am struggling a bit indeed to understand the different modes here especially as I use the German language interface.

A color change of entities, in a model sketch from unconstrained to constrained, does not qualify for the ability to change sketch line color.

There are several ways to change sketch line color.

Sounds like it will work fine for the problem described by @banalo
