Hello, I'm new to Fusion and so far so good but, I want to put dimensons. sketches on a separate layesr so I can turn them on and off as needed. How or where can I do that? Similar to AutoCad and the like.

Hi @Anonymous,

Fusion does not have any concept of layers in the design environment today.  And, there is no way, today, to hide the sketch dimensions, primarily because those are considered primary design data, and are assumed to be important to always see.

Here is an IdeaStation on this topic:  layers-in-sketches.  You should vote for this idea...

This is one of the most annoying/frustrating things about this program!! I've noticed that a sketch can somehow accumulate many copies of the same object but there's absolutely no way of knowing this until you try to delete things. This affects file size and could cause corruption in models. It's amazing how this hasn't been fixed yet.

One would expect to see every object in the tree, like other programs. If there's 20 objects, we should be able to see 20 objects in the tree!! HOW could this not be addressed yet?

Copying and pasting a sketch?? Nope, can't have this basic fuction either.

The more I try to learn Fusion, the more I question why besides it being free. Paying for Rhino makes way more sense right now. ohhh, except the fact that I can't easily import a file is another topic.... 😕

This is very sad to hear. We NEED layers. We NEED to be able to show and hide entities, change colours, line types and line weight.

those of us that use fusion to design stuff for waterjet , laser , plasma and oxyfuel ... in example, one layer for marking text , one layer for cutting contour , one layer for punching etc etc
