Latest update removed up and down arrows

The latest update replaced the up and down arrows with a "3 dot box".  Please give us back the up and down arrows, you may keep the 3 dot box, not so concerned about adding things but taking things away can be very annoying and unproductive.  I now have to use both hands and type to change values rather than just click up or down.

Thanks!

Hi Betreff,

See attached screenshot. The up and down arrows have been replaced with a 3 dot dialog box in the latest update of Fusion 360. Why were the up and down arrows taken away? Can they please be put back?

They still exist in some places like the “manage tool library” but gone and replaced with the 3 dot box like in the manufacturing programming. The choices in the box do me no good and I end up having to now type the value rather than click higher or lower, which was very useful.

Thanks!
John Coyle

In the MFG space, this was an intentional decision, but we are revisiting adding some of the arrows where it makes sense. Stay tuned for a future update where these may find their way back into the software

Hi Seth,
That would be great if you could bring the arrows back. Why don’t you move the 3 dots to the left of the number and bring back the arrows to the right? Take your time but hurry, please!😃

Can't seem seem to attach a screenshot.  Actually I can attach it but it does not seem to show up after being posted.

I dragged to the below attachment window, and seems to be there.  I also attached

as pdf, maybe jpg not supported?

Hi,

1. A pointer to the affected menus would have sufficed.
2. This is how you embed screenshots in the text.

Thanks for showing how to insert a screenshot!

The problem with not having the up and down arrows requires me to type in a number by guessing what it might be rather than just, say clicking the down arrow and seeing in real-time the change quickly.  The choices in the 3 dot box are not helpful for this, and of course requires more clicking and typing and guessing.

The latest June update has not brought the up and down arrows back!  The 3-dot menu box is not useful.  Please don't take things away in new updates, you can add things as long as people are not forced to use them.

I would suggest your software engineers actually produce real parts in real time for real customers for real money before they write software that slows things down.

I've been using AutoCAD since 1985, still use release 14 on a XP.  I have been using Fusion 360 for about 5 years designing and machining real parts.  So I have some experience in what works and what does not.  Some of your AutoCAD commands would be good to incorporate into the sketching mode in Fusion 360.  Can we please pick the quadrant of a circle for example?

Hi Seth,

Unfortunately the latest June update did not bring back the up and down arrows.  I am not getting used to typing in guessed numbers and probably never will.  The arrows were useful and time and effort saving for sure!

Is there anyway you can get a little heat put on this subject?  Unless there is some sort of super major, all hands on deck because the company will go out of business reason to take these arrows away, then please don't take them away.

Hi, no it has not been resolved.  The up and down arrow option is still removed and replaced with the 3 dot box.  The 3 dot box is basically useless from a standpoint of changing values quickly in real-time.  Too bad it was taken away as it was something I used all the time, real bummer!  It will take much more than these dang arrows to have me ditch Fusion 360, it's still fantastic, works on a Mac, cloud based, lots of features all for a very reasonable price!  Keep it up but please be careful about taking things away.
