Latest update Killed Fusion360

I use Fusion 360 Personal Edition several times per week on my Windows 10 system.  I saw it recently updated to the newest version that enabled the new 10 enabled document limit.  Things seemed to work OK, with the exception of the refresh enabled document bug where the number of enabled documents and the enabled documents panel was not getting refreshed properly.  But using the refresh command work around seemed to work OK.

Now today I started it up and while I was using it I noticed it was updating again.  I figured Autodesk fixed the enabled documents refresh issue and once the update completed I restarted to see if that was the case.

Unfortunately now Fusion 360 will not start up at all.  It keeps popping system errors claiming components can't be found, most of which appear to be related to QT.  The error message states re-installing may fix the problem.

I hesitate to re-install from scratch.  Is there any other solution that could avoid a re-installation?

If not, what is the best practice steps for re-installing while minimizing wiping out settings and other damage?

Also if not, where would I find the the appropriate installer to do so?  I've been using Fusion for so long without a problem, with updates coming in along the way, I'm not sure where I get the right one anymore.

Currently I'm dead in the water here so any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help,

This is evidence of a failed install, which can happen, but are rare. It sounds like you have had a long running installation here with no problems. If it happens again, please refresh this post and we'll look deeper.

For now, there is no problem with re-installing and you'll have to do this to get back running.

There is a process and a tool that can help with the clean up.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

At the bottom of that page, step 6 shows how to re-install.

If you have any questions please just ask.

Thanks Phil,

I did the re-installation about an hour after I posted the first message in this thread.  Not much to it and I didn't need to use the clean up tool.  Just uninstalled the old copy and installed the new and it came up and worked again.
