Latest update -> no gesture-based navigation

My Fusion seems to have updated itself today, and now the gesture-based navigation on the touchscreen has stopped working. Suddenly, I can select the menus with a finger, which is expected behavior when gesture-based navigation is deactivated. But checking the "gesture-based navigation" box in Preferences does nothing, and the gestures remain inactive. The platform is a Lenovo X1, very recent (I think Gen 6), running Windows 11.

After having trained my subcortical neurons to  use gestures, I find it impossible to work otherwise. I am stuck!

I have the same issue: surface book. I even reinstalled a fresh windows and everything. Indeed very very annoying when one has become used to the incredible functionality: speed, accuracy, no more cramps, it is like I lost a hand (already have lost a real leg lol)
