Latest Fusion 36 Build 17-04-2023 Not Working

Just downloaded update to Fusion 360 now unable to sign back in and get it running

Hi Geoff,

  I'm sorry you are having issues running Fusion 360 after the latest update.  Could you send us the logs for Fusion?  It would help us diagnose what the problem is.   

Fusion 360 logs location:

  • Windows:
    • C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\(Alphanumeric Folder)\logs  (Look for all *.log files.)
    • C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\logs  (Look for all *.log files. Logs here when login is unsuccessful.)
  • macOS:
    • Macintosh HD>Users>(username)>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360>(Alphanumeric Folder)>logs  (Look for all *.log files)

Hi Geoff,

  Thanks for the reply.   If you could drop the Fusion log files, as well as the ID Services log file, in the chat we can look at the files.   The log content you included doesn't show what is causing the problem unfortunately.   

  A couple of questions for issues we've seen.  Do you have any other Autodesk products installed on this machine?  What web browser are you using?

@geoff-hill Your version shows as Version : 2.0.10940 which is our update from September 2021. You should be on build 2.0.15995 with the latest. 

Can you please confirm if you are on this build by going into Add/remove programs and looking for Autodesk Fusion 360 and its version?

@geoff-hill Well the log that you attached is in fact from 2021 and hence the version that we see. 

Can you gather the other logs that @chip.stark has asked and add it to this thread? 

In fact when you launch Fusion 360, if you click on Ctrl+shift, it will launch Fusion service utility. IN there is a gather system info. This will generate a couple of zip files. If you can attach the diagnostic.zip file here that would greatly help.

  Were you able to generate a diagnostics.zip file with the steps that @RajkumarIlanchelian described?   We aren't able to see any files that you mention that you attached, the diagnostic.zip contains the files with information that will help us see what is causing the problem.

Hi Geoff, 

  The one log file in the diagnostic files indicate it was created by version 2.0.15509, which is the February release.  It is possible the shortcut isn't working as intended.  Can you try running the following?

  1. Delete the short cut
  2. Run Fusion 360 service utility
  3. Run repair
  4. Use the new shortcut created

Hi Geoff,

  I haven't seen that error before.   It could be caused by different things (a proxy server, network security device or DNS problem), I don't have a solution for it.  @RajkumarIlanchelian might have suggestions for this.  I am surprised that you were able to use it yesterday to create the diagnostic.zip file but it is not working today.  I'll check around though to see if there are any ideas on how to get around it.  

  In the meantime, you can try to run Fusion360 directly from the installation folder.  It will be found under C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production.   Find Fusion360.exe and double click it.

Hi Chip,

No file named"Fusion360.exe" in fact no exe files just a bunch of  is
present at that location!

Found a version in one of these dated 13/04/2023 so just a few days ago
in a folder

"\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\22e664d43fce268ac9bf1fa1cda69e4a9585c997"

 but clicking it starts the whole login screen saga which I still
cannot get through!

Okay - Drastic Solution, needed to completely unistall Fusion 360

Reboot twice to clear and log out of Fusion 360

Then re-install from scratch! then and only then was I able to log in using Win 10

now up and running!
