Keep snap points visible for selection - Holding CTLR doesn't work

Hey, I am having a similar issue from this old post.

I cannot select snap points since the moment I move the mouse to grab one, they disappear.

This is very problematic since there is no easy workarounds.

I know holding CTLR used to work but for some reason it just stopped working.

What's the solution? I can't believe it didn't get fixed since 2017.

Thanks.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply for demonstration using your actual geometry?

what command are you using in your workflow?  As detailed in many forum threads, CTRL/CMD does not work to "lock in" a face selection within the Move command, but does work for the Align or Joint commands.  So, I assume you must be using Move.  What workflow are you using where Align or Joint would not be better than Move?

This is actually happening during sketch environment.

just a wild guess:  are you trying to find the mid point of a line while creating a new line?  If so, the shortcut for sketch is different than for the solid/surface environment.  Hold Shift to show the midpoint.  If that is not your question, please share a bit more information about what you are doing, and what you are trying to do.

I can't share the file but here's a simple example.

I am trying to get the center of the hole that is circled in red. But the moment I will try to reach for it, it will disappear regardless if CTLR is pressed or not:

No I am actually trying to do pipe routing by using 3D sketch. I want to snap the line to holes in an assembly. It is very difficult to do that without being able to snap to the center of these holes.

Ah, OK, that helps.  I see the problem.  Yes, that is a problem, unfortunately.  Assuming you want the 3D location of that center point, the only way to get it is to use Include 3D Geometry in the sketch menu:

Use that command to include the circular edge of that hole, and the center point will come with it

Nice! Thanks for the trick!

Another option would be to create construction points at the centre of the circular edges before creating the sketch.

yes, you are correct.  CTRL does not work for Move, only for Align and Joint.  I've never been clear why, but it has been reported several times in the past, but has not yet risen to the top of the priority list.  I will add this thread to the issue.

The Fusion issue here is FUS-43691
