Joint Problem - "A joint already exists" but no existing joints in the fusion design

Getting the "A joint already exists between the selected components" warning when trying to join any two components in the linked fusion design:

https://a360.co/3mjWaBk

attached pic shows timeline with no existing joints, so should not be getting this message.

I am able to create the joint anyhow, but why the message when no joints exist at all?

I get this message regardless of which two components I am trying to join.

Thanks...Henry

Users are going to be reluctant to open your assembly because of it's number of "linked" components.  Assemblies with linked components "must" download a file for every component in the assembly cluttering up a user's folder.  I would suggest that your open your assembly, save it under a different name, and then select and "break link" on all the components.  Posting of the resulting file will bypass this issue and others will not be so hesitant to open it.  I am not sure you consider this issue large enough to go to this trouble but that is up to you.

Thanks for the help, I tried that, but in those efforts Fusion crashes hard everytime when breaking the links, which may also be related to the original problem. When I first opened these designs the other day, every joint was bad (red in the timeline) When this happens the only choice is to delete the bad joints, they cannot be re-edited, or repaired. (This is a known problem at Autodesk) This may be the root cause of the problem. I can move on without a problem, its only a few joints. I posted here because I know Autodesk has a lot of problems with joints in large assemblies, and this might be a good one for them to take a look at in their efforts to fix those problems.

Thanks...Henry

Just escalated this issue as it is starting to happen to several designs. This is something Autodesk should be interested in fixing as they have serious problems with joints in large assemblies failing for various reasons similar to this.
