Jittery performance during orbits

Within the last month or two I have started getting very poor performance while orbiting the viewpoint around a model. I don't know if the change is within Fusion, a setting I have changed somewhere, or imposed from elsewhere such as a driver change. I have a later nvidia driver (522.30) than was suggested in the g-sync issue which was also raised recently; and a decent spec PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, nvidia 3050 gpu, 48gb ram. While orbiting, there are occasional pauses in what should be smooth rotations, which do not seem to correlate to any particular orientation, or the mouse cursor position going on or off components. During these, the orbit icon on the bottom toolbar temporarily goes from being blue backgrounded to the normal white. There are also uncalled for zoom changes, particularly going to a zoom level which shows the whole model, and further zoom changes as the model rotates to a different aspect which no longer fits on the display. These also seem to be accompanied by changes in the rotation point. Enabling 'Limit effects to optimize performance' does not change the behaviour. This all occurs with both complex assemblies (thousands of bodies) or simple ones (<100 bodies).

Is there any way of solving this, particularly the zoom changes, and getting the smooth rotation back?

It would help if you could show a video of the behavior.

Are you running any commands while this happens?
