Issue with Pattern on Path not doing anything.

I've used Pattern on Path a hundred times with no issues.   This time, I used it and it causes no errors, no warnings, but also doesn't do it.   I've created a video to show what I'm doing.  What am I missing?

I just did the same thing in new project attempting to reproduce it and it worked.    Now I'm really confused.    I've verified I'm selecting the correct path and feature as it's in it's own component.

I take it all back, I'm able to reproduce it in a new project.

Looks like the problem is, if the feature covers two walls, so even though they are connected, it's hollow in between, it will not do the pattern.

I created this to show the issue, then how I corrected it..   To me this is a bug..

Why are you using Pattern on a Path, why not use Circular Pattern?  Please attach you model.

Habit.    You would think Pattern on Path should still work, right?

Depends, please attach your model and the forum users can try and tell you the reasons it will or will not.

Now if you want a partial pattern around the path or special spacing, that is a different story.  If you are doing a complete circle with equal spacing, the circular pattern is your tool.  If you do measure the length of the path and enter it in the Pattern on Path, it normally will work OK also.

Yes using pattern on circle works the way I want it too, so I'll mark this as accepted solution.

Attached is a demo of Pattern on Path that is not working.

This is one of those models that requires you to use "Faces" for the Type of entity you are going to pattern, in this case Pattern on a Path.  The reason, I believe, is the fact that the holes are not tied together but span a distance.  I also believe the partial intersection of the hole, on the concave side, with the concave edge requires the Type to be Faces.  Model is attached.
