Issue Exporting Using Make Tool

Hello,

I am currently having an issue trying to export my files as STL/3MF.

My workflow has always been: Select Body/component, Click "Make", uncheck "Send to 3D Printing Utility," select desired file format, and then it usually prompts me to "save as" in a given file location. The "save as" screen never appears and the Fusion360 usually crashes shortly after clicking "ok" on the "Make" window.

Here is the message that appears on the crash window:

Date/Time: 2022-08-17 08:19:20 -04:00
Application: Fusion360.exe
Error: Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available)
Crashed Module Name: NuBase10.dll
Exception Address: 0x00007ff96bbb1c40
Exception Code: c0000005

I have already tried:

  • Running the program as Admin
  • Exporting in offline mode
  • Exporting different meshes
  • Clearing my Cache
  • Reinstalling Fusion360

No Dice!

My current work around was to use the "myhub" tool to export files. Which works fine its just an annoying extra step.

Any help or suggestions outside of what I have already tried would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

This sounds like an old bug where the last save\open was to a directory that's no longer available. There's a fix in this post or a full clean uninstall reinstall usually fixes it.

Yup! Deleting that line in Notepad++ fixed it.
