Is there any keyboard shortcut to "Add a User Parameter" to the Parameter dialog box?

One of my most common operations is to add a new parameter. I can assign a keyboard shortcut to open the Parameter dialog box but then I need to use my mouse to click the "+" icon to add a new parameter.

It would be much easier if there were a keyboard shortcut to add a new parameter that could be launched from everywhere as well as from in particular the parameter dialog box.

There is no keyboard shortcut to do what you desire but the video will show you a method of entering Parameters as you sketch and model.

That is so cool and will save me a lot of time.
Also, I assume the same can be done in 3D dialog boxes for extruding, revolving, etc.
What is the practical effect (pros/cons) of them not showing up as 'fx' in the sketch
