Hi, I'm new to Fusion 360, and I generally like the default Pan, Orbit and Zoom controls, except for one thing:
I would very much like to have MMB = Orbit, and Shift-MMB = Pan, instead of the default MMB = Pan, and Shift-MMB = Orbit.
From my experience in (polygon) 3D modelling, I find myself orbiting my work much more than panning.
Also, I'm already used to that exact same control scheme in some other programs, so I constantly keep messing it up in Fusion and it's slowing me down significantly...
So, is there a way to make this happen?
A menu toggle I'm overlooking, or even a config file I can edit (I don't mind having to change it on a per-machine basis)?

Hi @jan.tuts ,
Thanks for posting!
If you click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and go to preferences, you will see the following image. There is an option for "pan, zoom, orbit shortcuts" and you can customize them to work as Fusion or as another software (solidworks, inventor, etc. )
Feel free to play around with these options and use whatever is comfortable for you!
Thanks,
Yes, I've seen those, but so there's no way make a slight adjustment to it the Fusion scheme?
The Solidworks scheme does have MMB = Orbit, but then it has CMD-MMB instead of Shift-MMB for Pan.
I guess, if there's no way to make any adjustments, I can live with the Solidworks scheme.
So to rephrase my question: is there any way to make adjustments to the Pan, Zoom & Orbit shortcuts scheme, other than selecting one of the included, unmodifiable schemes (Fusion, Alias, Inventor, Solidworks, Tinkercad)?
HI @jan.tuts ,
Unfortunately, Fusion does not give the option to customize the pan/orbit/zoom other than what is in the preferences. However, feel free to put this request on the Fusion 360 Idea Station! Here, your ideas can potentially become product features.
Thanks,
