Is there a better way to create snap fits around curves?

I have been working on this test piece and wanted to see if a snap fit lid might help cut down assembly time however the design has random curves so I have had to try and fit them in manually because of this. I imagine this would be a very tedious design process unless there is some kind of advanced project feature that could accomplish the process of creating the snap fits around the curves.

Attached is the model, warning, the sketches are a mess.

Also, should this be here or the Design, Validate & Document Forum?

Thank you,

FYI, FFM and curved snap-ins are a no-no meaning I probably need to complicate this with custom planes and therefore likely would not be able to use any type of pattern on path tool.

Would really appreciate any knowledge that contradicts this idea.
