Is it possible to snap align one point to another?

Trying to align one point of a sketch to another but only in the Y-axis?pointss.jpg

I found a solution to this by simply hiding the grid which allowed me to align the point to another. But i was wondering if there is another way? I'm still learning Fusion 360 so apologies if the post feels trivial..

You can use the perpendicular constraint between the two lines - if they are one above the other in your demonstrated case there should be 90 degree angle between the lines - otherwise you can use the horizontal vertical constraint as an alternative    :

another way to align two points is to use the "horizontal/vertical" constraint:

You just select the two points, and use this constraint.  If the points are closer to vertical, then those points will be aligned vertically.  If they are closer to horizontal, they will be aligned horizontally

@jeff_strater I mentioned it as an alternative but probably should have made it the main one as you did - probably a better straightforward way

 

and one question - if the line between these two points is at 45º angle to the vertical and horizontal axis passing through the point of origin - which direction will the line go ?
