Is Autodesk desperate???

Angry with Autodesk. They put a subscription charge on my credit card - unauthorized, for another year. Off memory it was about $750.

What annoys me the most is I get a spam email (one of many trying to sell Autodesk) saying Fusion 360s sale ends today, price $566

I wonder if Autodesk is the kind of desperate business that hooks people in, only to lose them again because of behavior like this. I am considering reversing my credit card, and looking for another CAM program. Just because of this. What else can I do?

Hi @boyd.sofield ,

Sorry to hear about the confusion. I'm hoping I can help clear this up as best as possible.

When I looked into your subscription, it looks like you had "Auto-Renew Subscription" turned On. This is why you were charged full price for the subscription again on October 10th. Your subscription details can be found by visiting manage.autodesk.com and selecting "Subscriptions and Contracts" from the "Billings and Orders" tab.

If this was unintended, you are well within your 30 day refund window, and can initiate a chat with our support teams to process that.

To do that:

  1. Visit autodesk.com/contact-us
  2. Select Post Purchase Support, then select Returns
  3. Start a chat with an agent and let them know you wish to refund your product

Please note that auto-renew is turned on still for this subscription.

I am here to help! I know this is frustrating to be alerted to this just because you got a credit card notification. The sales offer can also be disabled via your marketing preferences in your Autodesk Account.

As mentioned, I know this is frustrating to experience, but I promise if this was an unintended purchase, the chat above can help refund that purchase. Also, I'm happy to help you get set up with the Autodesk sale that is ongoing today, if that is the preference.

Hello. I need to take the auto subscribe option off. Interesting though I would never have ticked that option in the first place.

The reality is if the auto charges had been up to date with the sale prices everything would have been different. I would have accepted it. I dont feel like I have been looked after very well up to now.

Yes I would like to resolve this please. Very close to canceling my whole subscription and getting an alternative CAM program I will remain with Fusion 360 but I am still a bit annoyed to be honest.

Please advise. Thanks

Hi @boyd.sofield ,

Completely understand your frustration. What you will need to do is refund your current subscription that just auto-renewed on October 10th, and you will have to repurchase Fusion 360 (using the same email address that your other subscription was under) if you wish to take advantage of the sales price.

To do this, you need to start a chat with a support agent:

  1. Visit autodesk.com/contact-us
  2. Select Post Purchase Support, then select Returns
  3. Start a chat with an agent and let them know you wish to refund your product

If you are okay with the auto-renewal that was placed on October 10th, but wish to turn auto-renew off, you can do that by:

  1. Visiting manage.autodesk.com
  2. Select "Subscriptions & Contracts" from the Billings and Orders tab
  3. Click the Fusion 360 subscription
  4. Select Manage and turn off Auto Renew
