I'm trying to create a contour for an object to rest inside this egg and I need that contour to butt up against the interior of this egg. I couldn't use a boundary fill because the contour itself doesn't already mesh with the egg, so I extruded the edges of the mold past the egg in hopes of splitting the body using the egg's interior face. However, I get the intersecting tool data error, even though I'm only using a single face and not attempting to extend the splitting tool.

I have no idea how to share a f360 project file directly, but here's a public link to the file created by the document share feature https://a360.co/2PKGzPy

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Most likely I will do a Revolve Intersect or a Revolve Surface Split or an Offset Surface Split.

Ah ok I'm reviewing each example. I guess my first question for example one is why the surface offset was needed as opposed to just using the inner face as a splitting tool?
