Internal CAM Kernal Error

I have been using Fusion to machine mostly simple 2d contours for the past year. Just starting today every time I setup/generate a new toolpath I will get the "Error: Internal CAM kernel error. Please report through your support channel." Message.

I have gone back to many old projects and toolpaths (that I know work) and re-generated the toolpaths for them and am getting the same error on those as well. I have tried running many other toolpaths (adaptive clearing, pocket, etc...) and am getting this error. I have changed just about everything for the contour cut but am still getting this error. I have changed everything in my setup and the error still shows up.

Attached is a simple 2d contour cut file with the error. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Yep, known bug. Remove any special (non-ascii) characters from the tool name.

I too can not re-generate any tool paths from projects that were just in use even yesterday unless i open them on a pc that hasn't installed the update.....they re-generate fine if the update is not installed.....what you mentioned of re-naming the tool seems to work on the computer that has the update installed.....please roll back the update or fix this issue asap...i'm sure many of us are busy and need to be able to generate toolpaths today without re-naming hundreds of tools

Hi Traderick,

cannot be more on the same page as you are....

Do you know how to contact the support people directly?

Seth has been very kind and helpful as always.

Thanks a lot,

Ed

Just to follow up......I have gotten the few parts re-programmed that i need today by editing the tool in each toolpath and setting it to 1 letter....that has gotten the toolpaths to generate for now, but that won't work for the future for me.......most of my tool descriptions come from the HELICAL tool library and they don't work.....hopefully they are working out this problem and will have a fix soon.....I haven't talked to anybody directly as I've been re-naming tools all day to get my work done....lol

We hope to have a fix for this out in the next hotfix. Terribly sorry for this inconvenience!
You should be able to proceed with anything in the English alphabet, so: ".250 ENDMILL_1.0 LOC" should work (minus the "")
