Intermittently unable to edit sketches

I wish I could be more specific about this, but I have not identified what action or sequence of actions lead to this result. Intermittently while working in a design, after finishing an edit on a sketch to review the results on the part I will be unable to go back in to edit the sketch via the Browser. Double clicking on the sketch just opens up the option to rename the sketch, and right clicking on the sketch does not give the 'Edit Sketch' option in the menu. Previously the only way I knew how to get around this was to save the design, close it, and re-open it. At that point, I could edit the sketch again as normal. Today I discovered that I can also edit the sketch by right clicking on it in the Timeline, and there it does still show the Edit Sketch option.

I've encountered this now across a number of different designs, and the only thing that is the same in all cases is that I was working in a part that was derived from another one. (Not all derived from the same base component, just all derivations of some component.) I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue, but so far it's the only unifying thing when I've encountered the problem. It's impossible to provide an F3D that is experiencing the problem, because saving the file is one of the things that clears the problem, as is reverting to the previous save.

It's an oddball problem, but if anybody has any ideas about what might be causing this, I'd love to hear them.

Hi,

that’s a known issue.

Use the cursor in the timeline to go to the beginning and back again (several times).

Gotcha, felt like I must have been going crazy the first time I saw it. 🙂 Thank you for the info. Hopefully they'll get it straightened out.

Useful to know, I've seen this issue a lot and I've always just closed Fusion and reopened it (and waited... and waited... and waited... and waited... for it to relaunch... finally...)

So, could Autodesk perhaps make some attempt to fix this, or are we going to be dealing with this problem for the rest of time like we have to do with all of the other Fusion bugs that never get fixed? 🤣

Hi,

I show several methods in the screencast.
The last one in the browser is the most successful for me.
