Hello,
So I was trying to install Fusion 360 on my E drive instead of C following the tutorial provided in Autodesk Knowledge Network. It happens after I follow the instructions and try to setup Fusion 360, it throws an error. How can I solve this and install Fusion 360 on any other drive other than C? Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

welcome to Fusion 360 Community Forum! Installing Fusion 360 on a drive other than C: is not supported.

It seems like an older article in our knowledge database has not been removed. Thank you for notifying us about that!

If possible, try to free up some space on your C: drive to be able to install and launch Fusion (you'd need min. 2,5 - 3 GB, but more is recommended).

Thanks for understanding!

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me. I do have a pretty large space empty on my C
drive but since I always install softwares on other drives, I wanted to do
the same for Fusion 360 as well. Can I do that? If not, i'll just have to
go ahead and install it in C drive. Thanks for your help.

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for the reply! We did provide the instruction in the past as it was theoretically possible.

As of now, Fusion 360 needs to be installed in the C: drive to be launched, used and updated correctly.

Thanks!

Is this still an issue 4 years later? I am trying to make space on my C drive and this is pretty inconvenient.
