Insert manufacturer part is missing after October 2022 update

Yesterday i have updated fusion 360 and after the update "insert manufacturer part" is missing in the toolbar.

I believe it is called Parts4cad. It is still running when i check in addins and scripts.

Becvause i was working with this tool in my browser the website for parts was still open:

https://autodesk-fusion.partcommunity.com/

I still can import parts as usual but in the toolbar it is missing.

At home were i also work with Fusion360 i still had to update the software and indeed, "insert manufacturer part" was still in the toolbar, but after the update it was gone.....

Is this a bug in the update?

@BartKMS We are aware of this issue and working to rectify this. In the mean time below is a workaround that our engineering team suggests:

  1. Run the ADD-INS command on the UTILITIES tab to bring up the Scripts and Add-Ins dialog.
  2. Activate the Add-Ins tab.
  3. Select parts4cad in the My Add-Ins section.
  4. Edit the parts4cad.py file and delete lines 66, 67, and 68. (Or comment them out by adding a # character to the front of those lines.
  1. This can either be done by using the Edit command in the Scripts and Add-Ins dialog. But be aware that this will install Visual Studio Code.
  2. Or you can expand the 'Details' item in the in the bottom of the Scripts and Add-Ins dialog. And open the file whose path is in the 'Full Path' field of the addin's description in any text editor.
  1. After editing the script, you can either 'Stop' and 'Run' the parts4cad addin in the Scripts and Add-Ins dialog, or restart Fusion.

Thank you sir.

i have seen that the character "i"is confused with another similar character or something like that. Visual code was telling me this. I have deleted lines 66,67 and 68. and everything is working fine now!

thanks for the "solution"
