INSERT FASTENER - EDITING / CREATING NEW FASTENER / ORGANISING

Furthermore to my previous forum post, i'm having trouble editing and then saving fasteners.

I want to use an M3 x 35mm Pan Hd Machine screw, there is only a 30mm version available. So If i open the 30mm model which I have used I can then edit the sketch to modify the length. But the description stays the same (30mm).

How do I edit the description as well..?

Also it would be good if the fastener component folder had the ability to have multiple sub-component folders, so different fasteners could be placed in thier own folders. Currently they just all go into the "fastener" folder. In a large assembey I will have many different types, and maybe 50-100 fasteners in total.

Hi jasonUJ2XR

right now isn't possible to customize Fasteners in Insert Fastener command. Library is read-only.

You can edit inserted f3d model for particullar member but default Description is taken from data table sitting in our read-only library on cloud.

You can change Description during the Insert or Edit workflow. Just select member where you edited f3d file before and put your own description there.

WRT: subfolders in Fasteners browser node.

Thank you for this feedback. I will forward it to our designers.

Best regards

 Roman
