Insert Canvas then Insert from My Computer

When I click on Insert, then click on Canvas, a box comes up.  In the bottom left hand corner, its suppose to have a option to "insert from my computer." However my box does not have that.  Does anyone know how I can get that option?

A few individuals have had some issues with graphics.  Go to your Preferences and try the indicated setting.  Be warned, you will have to start Fusion 360 when you change it so save and close all before hand.

My only options are: Auto-select, DirectX 9, DirectX 11.

You have not allow the Fusion 360 update to install yet.  The update was released yesterday.  Since the update seemed to have caused the graphics issue, and you have not installed it yet, this could not be causing your issue.  When you do update Fusion 360, you will probably see what I show you in my screen capture.  So for right now, I would concentrate on getting the update installed.

It should be an automatic process.  When you open Fusion 360, and you are on the internet, you will see a little "1" show up where my red arrow is pointing.  Mine is already updated so it is not there.  Anyway if you see this, then left click on the clock face and your will see the update progress.  Once it finishes, it will give you the option to Restart Fusion 360 to install the update.

Finally got it to update to the newer version. Then I changed the preferences to the OpenGL Core Profile and restarted the program.  Unfortunately when I go to insert, canvas, and the box comes up, there is still no "button" in the lower left hand corner to insert from my computer.

Hello, I've had the same thing happen to me and I was able to figure a way around it. If you're using fusion360 online, then go to your data panel and click 'upload'.

Screenshot 2022-03-17 1.38.40 AM.png

it should take you to your profile with all our projects and folders where you can pick a folder to upload a file or image into.

you should then go back and be able to insert a canvas and scroll to the folder where you uploaded the image and bam! it's there!

The person that started this thread seems to be using Fusion where the license has expired (read only) from the screenshot above. I suspect that's the problem.

For the others in this thread, are any of you using the online educational browser version. This version runs on a remote desktop so has no access to your local drives, so you can only insert from your online hub.
