Incorrect DXF orientation when sketch created from extruded face

version: 2.0.11894.

Sketch exports as dxf with correct orientation. If you extrude the sketch, project either the top or bottom face of the object and export that sketch as dxf it's rotated. This is a very frustrating issue as it's nice to have a fully constrained sketch with construction lines and a sketch without those lines to have manufactured.

See attached example file. Export sketch 1 and sketch 2 and you will see the difference in orientation.

There is no way that I've found to fix this.

This is a very repeatable problem for me. If your programmers need any clues as where to look it seems as though the dxf export function is being passed incorrect parameters about the sketch when it's projected.

Here are the 2 exported dxf files to save time.

DXF is exported in sketch coordinates.  These two sketches have different coordinate systems

Here is Sketch1:

and here is Sketch2:

so, yes, if you import these onto a plane with the same coordinate system, they will be rotated..

We understand the concern, but it is not clear what the correct behavior should be here.  I know in this case it seems obvious, but that is not true in all cases.

is there a way within fusion to match the coordinate systems within the two sketches?

unfortunately, no, today there is no way to edit the coordinate system of a sketch.  It is on the list, but is not currently in the plan.  You can edit the geometry of a sketch so that it lines up correctly, but unfortunately, that requires importing the DXF back into Fusion (or some other tool), and rotating the geometry.
