inconsistent graph vertices error

Hi,

Is there a way to work out where the problem lies in the model for the "inconsistent graph vertices" error?

No errors in the model reported.

I got this error while doing and Inspect / Interference operation. In I switch on included coincident faces I don;t get the error and it shows the interferences as 0, which I expected.

Thanks

David

I've never seen this error. Is it only when doing interference?

Hi @HarrisonClassic !  I suspect I know what is going on.  This is a case where a low-level error is leaking out to the real world.  We attempt to translate these into more human-readable form, but sometimes there is no available translation.

What I suspect is happening here is:  The Interference command uses the same kernel API as Combine.  In fact, what Interference really is is just that - a hidden Combine command, set to "intersect".  These kinds of errors occur primarily when you have geometries that are nearly identical, and on top of each other.  Knowing a bit about your process, this does not surprise me.  Not to imply that your process is wrong, only that it can generate these nearly-coincident faces.  In fact, that is why that coincident faces toggle exists in Interference - to take those out of the operation, to avoid these kinds of problems.  So, that is a long way to say:  It's OK to ignore that error, and if you get the right results with coincident faces off, then that should be accurate.
