A great many sources of models provide only meshes (STLs, OBJs). Oftentimes, these meshes are very large (very large number of triangles; eg: terrain models), and turning them into BREP or other solid models is nigh impossible to do within 360. Various solutions to the problem include using other Autodesk products like Meshmixer and Recap, as well as tools like Blender, to pre process the meshes into something F360 is willing or able to work with (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qTx_9HK7IM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMZKgzBpodI).
It would be great if the features described in those videos were added directly to F360.
