Huge sphere being created while trying to combine 2 shapes.

This is the first time a F360 bug made me laugh out loud, but as I keep trying different workarounds and continue to get the same result its not nearly as funny... If anyone can explain why this is happening it'd be greatly appreciated so it doesn't happen again.

if you would share the model here, we will take a look.  Mostly, these kinds of things are caused by an improper trimming of a spherical surface.
