How to switch off or control a new annoying editor feature

In my latest update a new item appears now when trying for example to add a line. This appears

The Green/Red access with the rotate and blue box on it. Its a pain when it covers up two points I want to join. It moves around to any point you want. I have no idea what this is called but I would like to switch it off and get back to the old way.

That is the 3d sketching cursor - untick 3d sketching in the sketch pallet.

Hi,

1. uncheck setting in preferences

 

2. Recommendation by @davebYYPCU 

If needed, I would control the 3-D sketch using only the Sketch palette.
