This does not happen to me. Where does the screenshot appear? I think you need to provide more detail.

@ronUBLU6 Do you have any third party add-ins installed?

@Bjanders It saves the file to the same folder where I grabbed the file from

@JeromeBriot The only addons I have are the standard ones that came with Fusion

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

I am curious, what is the PNG that it creates?  You never have attached one to your Forum post.  Maybe if you do, someone will understand what is causing it.  Does it vary or is it the same PNG very time?  Does it look like the model you are opening?  These are simple basic questions that may help solve your problem.  You can also be creative and create a video of the complete process showing what you are going up to and including the created PNG,

I think you are still giving very little detail. Try to be more active, and not just reply to specific questions if you want help.  Your initial question was short of "Fusion isn't working, please help me fix it." and then expecting to receive replies on how to fix your problems with no further details from you.

* Which specific OS are you using?

* Has this always happened, or did start happening at some point? Did you just install Fusion 360 for the first time?

* If you go to the question mark in the upper right corner of Fusion and select About, what does it say (Fusion and OS version)

* Did you install Fusion from Autdesk's site or did you download it from a pirate site? Sorry for asking, but some people seem to think it's ok to use pirated versions. I'm not accusing, just making sure since the behavior seems so odd.

* Can you provide a video of opening a file, showing the complete Fusion UI, like @jhackney1972 suggested?

@Bjanders

Win 10, then later Win 11

This has happened from the very beginning since I started using Fusion back in 3/2023

  • Fusion 360 2.0.17954 x86_64
    Active Plan: Personal
    Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (22621.2861)

Downloaded from Autodesk. NO Not From A Pirate Site!

Video? I guarantee you I open a file no different than anyone else.

It's just just as I said, every time I open a .f3d file Fusion creates a png file that is saved to the same folder where I retrieved the file.

Bump,

I would really love to resolve this bug

In answer to @Bjanders question,  I downloaded the program from here

"* Did you install Fusion from Autdesk's site or did you download it from a pirate site? Sorry for asking, but some people seem to think it's ok to use pirated versions. I'm not accusing, just making sure since the behavior seems so odd."

I promise you, I open a file no different then anyone else, a video won't help any. I really can't figure how to be more active than I've been.
