How to select Edges and Points?

Hey. 

I can't select any edges or points on my model for whatever reason. You can imagine my model like this: A cuboid that is hollowed out inside downwards. (Attached Picture.)If I now select Measure I cannot select the edges IN the cuboid, it always only selects the surface on the top and on the side. Did I accidentally do something in the settings?

From your description you sound like you want to be able to select the inside edges of your box. To do this you need to turn off the top sketch. Go to sketches on the left and click the eyeball icon to make it disappear. You can turn it back on later so this action doesn't delete your sketch.
