Hello! Does anyone know how to remove the CONFIGURE section with its buttons from the toolbar?

I dug around and found another forum post with an official response. Per a dev, it seems like the Configure section is there to advertise the feature, and that it eating up a block of toolbar space without the option to remove is working as intended.

The dev states that you can remove one of the two buttons (but not both) by dragging it off of the toolbar; ironically, when I do this the Configure section doesn't shrink at all so it eats up the same amount of room. This may be a "me" thing, so it can't hurt to try.

Thank you for your reply! This is exactly what I was afraid of. I hope Autodesk will reconsider their policy and understand, that by annoying users with such "features", they will not attract more subscribers. I also hope that we will not see random ad banners on the toolbar or popup video ads in the near future.

Aaand it gets better.  I will never have the "team" feature turned, as I have a personal use copy.  So, icons in question are always greyed out, and blocking the curvature constraint.  How Autodesk can create such a useful and elegant tool, and then let the marketing department damage it, escapes me.

Hi,

I would like to point out that you are well advised to make friends with Team Storage.
Team is not designed for use by multiple people.
Furthermore, the end of single-user storage was already announced in October 2022 with effect from March 2023, but has not yet been implemented.
In my opinion, however, this does not mean that the step will not be taken at some point.
So find out what team storage is all about.

@g-andresen is correct, there is an "End of Life" on single-use storage and there will come a point where you literally have no option than to use Team Hubs. I made the switch years ago with my personal (commercial) license and it's never been a negative move.

Or switch to using my local NAS.  I have no need to share my designs anywho, so the "cloud" is usually more trouble than it's worth.  Unlike the curvature constraint that "teams" is blocking.
