How to quickly edit just one sketch and hide all others?

My goal is to edit a sketch and hide all the others.

My sketch browser shows 24 sketches.

I want to hide 23 of the 24 and view just one sketch. If I click on the eye next to the sketch folder, all 24 sketches hide as expected.

I now want to view sketch23 so I click on it. Instead of toggling visibility as I expect, the click draws a line through the eye next to sketch23. No matter how I click sketch23, i.e., ctrl-click, shift-click, etc. I can't get just click 23 to display.  What's worse, is if I click on the folder eye, all the other sketches become visible but sketch23 remains hidden.   I can hover over sketch23 and see it but when I move away, the sketch vanishes.

I can start over and hide click each of the other 23 sketches to leave sketch23 visible but that makes me feel like an idiot that I can't figure out the secret to easily displaying just one sketch out of several.

So what, if any, is the secret to quickly viewing and editing just one sketch?

The sketch folder visibility works like a valve.  It turns off all the sketches but leaves their inherent visibilities in whatever state they were in before.  So, if you turn off 12 of your 24 sketches, then turn off the folder, then turn back on the folder, you will see only the 12 that were visible before.

To answer your direct question:  There is no equivalent to "isolate" for sketches.  You will have to do this manually.  The easiest way is to use Shift-LMB to group select all the sketches, then use CTRL-LMB to de-select the one you want to see.  Then use the "v" hotkey to turn off all the remaining selected sketches.  ("v" is a hotkey for visibility toggle)
