How to look and operate through a wall in order to select a surface out of reach

Designing and drawing is sometimes challeging specially when being a starter...

I drawed a box and decided to move two protruding  nodges a bit downwards.

Herefor I need to select the opposite surface of the selected blue one.

There is no way to turn my object in order to "look at" the opposite face I selected in the drawing (see screenshot).

Using Sketchup before moving over to Fusion360, I just flipped my object 180 degrees, selected the wall that was in the way, made this one "invisible" and voilá!

In Fusion360 I don't know how to do so in order to make changes in underlaying surfaces.

The answer will be quit simple I suspect but regretfully not for me 🙂

Anyone?

A tip, would be very appreciated!reaching and editing through walls.JPG

If you click and hold a dialog pops up with a list of objects under the mouse pointer. There's also a selection filter Select Through that allows window selection of hidden faces.

@infoET839 - can you not just rotate the view around to see the back side of your object?  Just click and drag on the 'view cube' in the upper right, or use Shift + middle mouse button drag to do it from the mouse.

or, you can click on any of the faces of the view cube to see the model from that angle, and if you are viewing from one of the primary faces, there are additional controls for rotating the view.

The other tool that can be helpful is 'Select Other'.  Just press and hold the left mouse button for 1/2 second, and this menu will pop up - it lets you select objects which are obscured by other objects without making things invisible or rotating the view.  I use it all the time:

peek through walls.JPGwesome tip, thank you for that!!

However, The face I want to extrude is hidden out of sight by the front face and by turning the item, I still cannot peek around the corner...

The side you are looking at is obstructing me to touch the parallel face of the little nodge, just right of the blue line and left of the hole.

Thank you for your fast reaction here!

I tried and get a LOT of possibilities to filter but could it be that this is only possible for multiple opbects instead of within the same object?

I am looking for a way to just ignore the face I am looking at and go through it in order to touch (and highlight) the upper face of the little notch left under the circle.

Was this created in Fusion or is it an imported part? If it was made in Fusion do you have the timeline and why not edit the extrude or sketch that created the feature?

If you put the mouse pointer here, left click and hold you'll get a list of all geometry under to pointer. You could also set selection priority to Faces and the list will only be 4 of 5 faces i'd guess. Edit. Updated picture, think this is the face you want?

This sketch is made at the beginning where I build onwards when the model is much steps further on. The model is made from start in Fusion360 and my challenge concerns 1 component.
