How to import files from thingiverse

I downloaded the .zip file from thingiverse, but when I opened it, it was not .stl, and it is 3D objects. How do i import that into Fusion360?

Hi,

1. it could be STL.

STL symbol

These are called 3D objects in the Explorer.

File > open

2. If not, try to convert to STL / STEP .

Hi @technic1607,

Have you tried to import those '3D Object' to Fusion? It seems to be the stl files but your Files Explorer has activated option 'Hide extensions for known file types'.

To see a true extension of your files:

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Navigate to View -> Options -> Change folder and search options.
3. Navigate to View tab within the Folder Options window.
4. Uncheck the 'Hide extensions for known file types' within Advanced settings:

Now you should be able to see extension of the files as a postfix name:
