How to create a 1/8th scale of a project

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a completed project, but want to cut out a 1/8th scale model of it on the CNC prior to doing the full scale project. Is there a way to scale the entire project to 1/8 or 1/16th size for example??

@g-andresen s answer is correct, until you find that all your material thicknesses are now 1/8 or 1/16 thick.

There is a lot to consider, about full size and scaling or two models.

I would like to add one consideration.  If you are using the Scale command on a complete assembly, be prepared for some of the assembly joints to re-arrange.  Components are scaled just great but they may be out of position which really does not mean much to you for you purpose.
