How to align a model in drawing?

Hello,

one more question to drawings.

In the File I have some components - created directly in it.

Now it happens, that a  part (component) is joined under an angle in the assembly.

Not vertical / horizontal to the origin (coordinate system).

Making a drawing from this part is fine. But the part is shown under the angle same to the assembly.

See attached picture 1.

So far so good.

I tried to rotate the view but even if it shows the exact angle for correction.

See attached picture 2.

It does not fit 100%.

See attached picture 3.

And I'm not able to fine tune or align it to another horizontal line.

How can I adjust this view that the measures are also 100% correct?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Bernd

The process to define a view that is "square" to the origin planes in the model so you can then place it in the drawing is outlined in my screencast.  I only have a one component drawing but you can apply the same process to any number of awkwardly placed components, just create a "Named View" in the assembly model before placing in the drawing.  You can also apply the process to the whole assembly.

This was a huge help and thank you!
The issue I have now is I can dimension my parent view, but every projected view states I cannot dimension an isometric projected view. Im not sure why. Everything is still in 2d view.

I will need the model, not the 2D drawing you used to create the shown drawing.  Open the model, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive.  Then you can attach it to a reply post.  I can create the 2D drawing to test.

I have no idea why you sent me a STEP file when you were asking a question about creating a drawing from your F3D file.  Also I had asked you to send me the F3D file and gave you the instructions to do so.  Anyway, the drawing, fully dimensioned is shown below.  I am also sending you the F3D file and F2D file but I doubt if you will know how to open it.  When you export a drawing file, it carries along the F3D file in the form of an F3Z file.  This file must be Uploaded to the Cloud before you can open it.  It is attached.
