Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I do not see a Sketch?

I do not see Timeline History?

Did you Attach the correct file?

Where did you download the STEP file (it is rubbish)?

I recommend that you start over from scratch using the original only as reference in creating proper geometry.

The problem you are encountering is the result of you trying to skip essential skill training.

For example, files with imported geometry, by default have the timeline disabled, and for good reasons.

You continued to work with that geometry, which was not a good idea.

Perhaps you should make the original STEP file available before any changes are applied, and then explain in detail what it is you are trying to accomplish

The geometry is pretty basic - recreate it from scratch.

Can you Attach the original STEP here as suggested by @TrippyLighting ?

the gaps exist even before the Break Link (assume that is what you did when you said "convert to blue lines"), and @TheCADWhisperer and @TrippyLighting are both correct here - the problem is in the imported geometry.  I did a sanity check on this body in our internal tools, and the specific faces that you selected to project show up with errors:

as to how to fix the gap - first find out where the gap is, then just add lines or arcs to close the hole.  And, there is no need to convert the projected geometry to regular curves (Break Link), unless you want to actually edit those curves.

this is probably not how you want to fix this, but I just wanted to illustrate the technique for finding the gaps by adding lines to the sketch, and then just crudely fixing the gaps with line segments.
