How do you downgrade? Latest update is not reliable

Title says it all.  How do you downgrade to earlier release?  Latest update is not reliable.  The previous release was good.

Was the Eng team pressured to do date driven release?

- Keep fusion open long enough and main canvas becomes unresponsive.

- Timeline of operations can randomly become unresponsive, and/or behaves unexpectedly.

@fusiondevs, are you tracking how many times Users are stopping and immediately restart Fusion to help.  Closely tracking "Customer rebooted fusion" metric will help you better detect regressions hit by vocal Customers, and the silently frustrated tortured ones too.

This is not possible.

@aaronseX28WH You cannot downgrade Fusion. Our last major update was back in November (about 40 days back). We have many customers that have moved to this build and we have not heard of any similar concerns as what you have posted.

1. Are you on windows other than a Mac?
2. Does the software crash when the canvas becomes unresponsive?
3. Just curious if there are any pending OS updates?
4. Can you give some more details on the timeline of operations can randomly become unresponsive?
5. May be you already did this but does a repair and then a restart of the machine help?

You have no idea how bad things really are. Your suggestion is completely valid, but it would show red 24/7. Fusion is held by duct tape at this point.

Can you blame them tho...

Think about all the different autodesk products, the amount of staff it would require to "properly" maintain every single software would make autodesk bankrupt and we wouldn't have the software at all, nothings perfect annoyingly enough...

Yes.

I do not care.

So your saying you'd rather go back to paper and pencil?

back to spending lots of time designing something by hand, without software help...

Still don't care?

Cuz laziness is man's greatest strength

I do not think that this is the right place for existential debates.

If Autodesk goes bankrupt (and it probably will in the next few years) some other company will take its place.

If I buy a product, I expect that product to work.

Autodesk won't get a participation trophy from me, and consumers like yourself are the reason why everything went bad in the last 2 decades.

->keep your opinion to yourself then or ask for improvements, unlike many softwares, Fusions engineers do respond do feedback.

Let’s keep this conversation productive. Everyone here values reliable tools, but we need constructive input to make improvements rather than throwing blame. Software evolves with challenges, and discussing solutions benefits us all more than personal attacks

"Calling me a 'consumer' ignores the complexity of maintaining software like Fusion. Autodesk manages an extensive product lineup, and expecting perfection is unrealistic. Instead of blaming others, constructive feedback helps ensure the tools we rely on get better.

You can smack talk all you want but people, engineers and many others put time and effort to make this software to the best of their ability.

That time and effort is something you will never be able to replicate by your self, if you hate fusion so much, go back to pen and paper

That's what it was 2 decades ago before softwares like fusion made it "bad" as you said. I'd like to see you do your job, earn your salary, impress your employers with that, because face it, it's thanks to softwares made by autodesk like Fusion that we have grown to the civilisation we are today.

So, I wonder what you manager would say if you suggested going back to pen and paper rather than autodesk products like Fusion?

saying it would help productivity and such...

your arguing and losing (how's your ego doing, still up there?), it's a pointless argument that many peope don't go into because there's no point. Fusion 360 isn't perfect and that's expected, if there was a perfect software there wouldn't be all these other competitors...

People are happy with fusion as it provides most of the tools and requirement that people need

For tools that F360 doesn't have, people use other programs, for example, one of the validate & document gurus, uses blender and side FX houdini with F360 to provide everything he needs and I'm sure the same goes to many other people. Personally I rely on F360 and blender and I know I'm not alone.

There have been many past threads about this, and all those people have been proved wrong and been shown workarounds and issues like these are fixed.

e.g - the dark mode debate -> @fusion devs are finally doing something about it (even though it's been 8 years) and it's a sign that F360 is going towards the better.

Your have to remember that F360 is the first and ONLY CAM, CAD, and CAE software as well as a few other functionalities I don't remember

So if you have such problems, word them out, because you seem to be more focused on proving that your a sad old man with not life that seems focused on winning a losing argument instead of answering the question @RajkumarIlanchelian , graciously asked you in order to try and aid you/ your company...

Ever so partially annoyed New years wishes

Run fusion long enough and timeline starts to render incorrectly, e.g. unable to drag the operation marker, and operations fail to render, in this case the "group" icon isn't being rendered, but a tooltip does get displayed for the nested operations.

@aaronseX28WH Thank you for sharing this. Few other questions.

1. Is this happening on this particular design or you see this randomly on other designs as well?
2. Is there a pattern to which features are not rendered in the timeline or is that random as well?
3. Would it be possible to share this design?
