How can I roll back to a previous version of fusion 360

So. The recent software update has completely crippled me. the sketch and move/copy features are now totally unusable and I've wasted way too much time catering to this garbage. I have to actively fight everything to get the simplest things to work anymore. How can I remove the software update and go back to being able to use fusion 360?

I specifically want this software update gone. nothing else. I don't care. If fusion can't be rolled back to what it was last month, I'll demand a refund and use a different CAD program.

@anvil_x Fusion does not have a roll back option. We certainly can work with you to understand what is happening in your environment. Can you please elaborate on what problems you are facing in the sketch environment? Also, looks like you are a commercial customer. You are entitled to our product support that can also help.

@sameer_babarNJS6C Please keep an eye on this thread.

@anvil_x A few people have complained about problems with Move\Copy and it turned out they needed to use a different graphics driver in Fusion.

In Fusion's preferences try the other drivers.

Hey Fellas,

thanks for the quick replies.  Mark it'd be hilarious if your solution works because I had an issue about 6 months ago that was fixed by changing the drivers.

Before I try the fix, I'll get you some screenshots and a description @RajkumarIlanchelian

So it took two hours of active fighting to get this below sketch done.

Now here's the issues:

anvil_x_1-1717085286867.png

so when I go into edit the sketch and select "line", this massive compass pops up on the origin and effectively blocks my workspace. then I can't click where I want to draw my line. so I tried to zoom in and circumvent this obstruction and the situation gets worse because no matter where I click, and no matter the scale of zoom, the compass is always too large for me to effectively draw a line. so I have to click my origin point of the line at the .000001" scale and then zoom out to normal scale, and then zoom in to .000001" scale at the point where I want the line to end.

here's an example:

anvil_x_2-1717085493672.png

then the problems get more nightmarish when "Move/Copy" gets involved.

So

First off, when I imported the canvas into my workspace, it imported over THREE METERS from the origin point, and I had to spend a half hour fighting the crippled "Move/Copy" system to get it back to the origin.

here's me moving the canvas for this project to show you what I mean.

anvil_x_3-1717085708505.png

see my cursor hovering over the xyz movement arrows?  The system absolutely prohibits me to touch ANYTHING other than the degree angle compasses and that free-move block.  It takes me a few minutes of insanity to finally get the canvas moved even a smidge in the right direction, and often, the system *panics* and moves the canvas 3-6 meters in a random direction without my consent.  so I have to zoom back out to fins my canvas, and then start the battle all over again to get it back to where I want it.

I haven't even tried any of the higher-order functions like surface drafting, lofting, etc so God knows what other dragons are lurking in this psychotic morass.

So I just got a "new software update available" message from Fusion and am going to click on it to let my software update yet again.  I'll let you all know how this goes here in the next half hour or so

Software patch did not fix it.

I've been running DirectX 9 since that software update that torpedoed me about 6 months ago, so I changed it to "Auto-Select" and,.........

@HughesTooling you're a Genius.  changing the driver worked!

Full functionality is restored in all regards.

the solution was changing the driver from DirectX 9 to Auto-Select and restarting the program.

Dang Fellas, you two saved me a ton of time. Thanks, I appreciate it.

I think one problem is you have 3D sketch enabled.

The other people seeing the problem with move copy had change their setting to DX 9 in the past and changing to DX 11 or 12 fixed the problem!

yep!

that's how I roll. I fabricate hull forms for Scale RC Model Boats, so I do all my work in 3d sketch.

Soon as I changed it from DX9, everything went right back to normal. so yeah it might have helped if I switched out of 3d mode, but then I wouldn't be able to do all the cool guy stuff I do to make them boats happen.
