Holemaking paste parameter issue

Using the hole feature.

If in depth parameter copy & pasting a parameter from "change parameter" list and select it, the depth won't show a preview.

But if I type in the box and select the same parameter it will show.

Maybe a bug?

I can reproduce this.  Strange.  Will create a bug for it.

turns out this was also reported here:  bug-report-using-paste-instead-of-typing-in-a-number-causes-the , so it is not specific to Hole.  Bug is FUS-74292

Hi Jeff,

Is there a reason for copy and paste as opposed to auto-completing the term.

I don't know a lot about the details, but the root cause is the way CTRL/CMD is handled - these modifiers roll back the preview (for selecting more things, for instance).  And when you do CTRL-V to paste, somehow the key up is not properly handled, so the input field does not get notified that it needs to recompute.  Or something like that.

Nice to hear you could reproduce it.

It is not a big deal, but I like copy & paste when doing a lot of same thing.
